WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A TYPICAL PHYSICAL THERAPY TREATMENT/SESSION?

At Copper City Physical Therapy, our first step in managing your injury is to perform a detailed assessment to accurately determine what it is we need to focus on. Following the assessment, our Physical Therapists will provide you with a balanced treatment plan, which may include but is not limited to, manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, thermal modalities, electrical modalities and/or dry needling.

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

Physiotherapists are direct access practitioners. This means that you do not need a doctors's referral for treatment.
However, if you have extended health benefits, the provider may still require a doctor’s referral to physical therapy before reimbursing your fees.

WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?

If you have extended health benefits, let us submit your receipts to insurance on your behalf and you only have to pay us the remainder. Direct billing will be available to Pacific Blue Cross, Medavie Blue Cross, and all major providers on Telus eHealth.

DO YOU ACCEPT ICBC/CAR ACCIDENT CLAIMS OR WORKSAFE BC CLAIMS?

We accept ICBC and Alberta MVA claims. On your first appointment you will need to have your healthcare card and your valid claim number.

You are entitled to accident benefits whether you are at fault for the accident or not. You do not need a referral from a doctor if the accident is recent and/or you have not had any previous treatment. In most cases, you are entitled to physiotherapy treatment. The adjustor assigned to your case will let you know what will be covered.

We do also accept WorkSafe BC claims.
